Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Worknosis platform at app.worknosis.com and worknosis.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
1. What the Service does
Worknosis collects temperature and humidity readings from sensors, calculates heat-stress indicators such as the humidex, shows them on dashboards, and sends alerts and reports. The Service is a monitoring and record-keeping aid.
2. Not a substitute for your safety obligations
Readings, alerts and forecasts are provided for information only. They can be delayed, missed or inaccurate, for example because of a sensor fault, a network or power outage, or an email delivery problem. You remain solely responsible for workplace heat-stress procedures, for your own monitoring and for meeting any legal or regulatory requirement. Do not rely on the Service as your only safeguard.
3. Accounts
Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you add as alert recipients. Tell us promptly at info@worknosis.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Fees and sensors
Creating an account is free. Monitoring is a paid subscription. Current pricing is published at worknosis.com, and the fees and terms for your organization are as quoted or invoiced to you in writing. Sensors supplied with a subscription remain the property of Worknosis unless we agree otherwise in writing, and you agree to use them with reasonable care.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to gain unauthorized access, disrupt it, reverse engineer it, or send it false or malicious data, and no using it to break the law.
6. Your data
You keep ownership of the data your sensors send and the information you enter. You give us permission to process it to provide and improve the Service. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if fees are unpaid, or to protect the Service or other users.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Worknosis is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from a missed, late or inaccurate reading or alert, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
